- E is for Exercise (or lack there of…): In the first 3 months it is hard to excercise, the Dad-bod is on its way

- G is for GroBags: Don’t work for everyone, but for us these have been essential in helping our little man get to sleep.
- H is for Hair: First he had it, then it all fell out, and now it is starting to grow back again…
- I is for iPad: When holding a baby, feeding, or essentially doing anything your iPad is your keys to the outside world!
- J is for Jabs: Today our son has his second round of immunisations – Calpol and cuddles will be needed tonight I fear

- L is for Love: Unconditional, overwhelming and wonderful
- M is for Muslins: Always have one near, these pee/poo/puke rags are a mum and dad’s best friend

- O is for Oreos: See above re coffee. Essential to get through the first few weeks

- Q is for Quiet: When he is asleep, total quiet is needed – subtitles on Netflix are a life saver
- R is for Reflux: AKA puking, vomiting, throwing up… something that newborns do A LOT (see Musins above)

- T is for Tiredness: Obviously!
- U is for Urine: With a little boy in particular, the pee fountains are spectacular. Pee in the face, in the mouth, over the walls, over other people’s houses… essentially pee will be everywhere (at least it is sterile!)
- V is for Vanish: We get through a LOT of this to try to salvage the many clothes our little man’s explosive poos seem to destroy
- W is for Wet Wipes: See above!

- Y is for Yellow (poo): It is yellow! Sometimes practically glowing. Apparently this is normal
- Z is for Zits: Or baby acne. In the early days this is common, for us it went away in a week or two so don’t worry…
